our studio decorated several spaces following the completion of a new construction project. The clients enlisted us to infuse warmth into the second floor, basement, and formal living room of their Hingham residence. An open children's play and reading area connects to a corridor with a shared bathroom and three bedrooms. Newly installed millwork in these open spaces provides extra storage for an overflowing book collection and blends with the architectural elements envisioned by the architect.
In each bathroom and bedroom, we added playful wallcoverings creatively applied on walls, ceilings, and as framed murals. Fun storage solutions include reconfigured shelves and a custom daybed in one bedroom, offering additional sleeping space and convenient deep drawers and pull-out shelves. Modern furniture selections, in harmony with the home's style, are complemented by soft elements like bedding and pillows, adding the finishing touches to each room.
In the basement playroom, custom millwork includes a cozy bench with bespoke upholstery, while the adjacent bathroom features vibrant green shades and a patterned wallpaper. Both spaces serve as a backdrop for a cherished collection of children's artwork. The media room showcases new architectural details with bold wallpaper climbing up the walls to the ceiling. Integrated shelving within the board-and-batten wall treatment adds visual interest and provides a home for a curated collection of toys.
