A POOL & GUEST HOUSE,
a collaboration with architects Estes, Twombly, & Titrington, features seamless indoor-outdoor transitions. We selected durable materials that harmonize with the structure's finishes and landscape design.
The kitchen boasts light grey metal cabinets, a white backsplash, and red cedar accents around the refrigerator and pantry, extending to the ceiling. Two islands serve as drink prep and dining areas, with an outdoor grill nearby. The dining area, anchored by an area rug, is furnished with weather-resistant pieces.
Inside, the living room has two facing couches, one of which is a pullout bed, and a unique lounge chair that rotates to face the indoor gas fireplace and TV or the pool area. An additional outdoor seating area sits between the new structure and the pool.
The bathroom, accessible from both inside and outside, features a shower, making it suitable for guests. Handmade Moroccan tiles accent one wall, coordinating with shiplap walls and teak floor slats. Summer is calling.

After completing several design projects for a Main Street Hingham home, we collaborated with Estes Twombly + Titrington Architects to design a separate structure—the pool house. To create a cohesive look, we ensured the interior elements echoed those of the main house. Our design included planning the kitchen, bathroom, and selecting all materials and furnishings.
The open-air kitchen features red cedar siding that matches the exterior, with a simple frame around the fridge and pantry, accented by a concrete tile backsplash. In the living room, white walls contrast with the red cedar millwork, drawing on exterior finishes. The bathroom combines custom concrete tiles from Morocco with traditional New England shiplap paneling. The pool house now serves as a versatile space that complements the main house and enhances its overall functionality.
