Light, neutral tile flooring mimics wood but is flood-proof and easy to clean. Grey slab-front cabinets keep it sleek, accented with UK-sourced brass hardware. were redesigned in this Westwood home after a flood destroyed both spaces. Upstairs, a classic white kitchen features inset cabinetry with charcoal-honed countertops and oil-rubbed bronze hardware. An Ann Sacks marble mosaic extends from the counters to the ten-foot high ceiling, adding texture. The central island, equipped with a cooktop, is paired with mid-century modern stools, while a built-in Wolf espresso machine sits above a pantry dedicated to coffee and breakfast essentials. A separate area includes a lockable under-counter alcohol refrigerator, and the spacious kitchen also houses double ovens.
Downstairs, the mood shifts with dark cabinetry. This fully functional entertaining kitchen includes a ffull height panel-ready refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, and a small cooktop for hors d’oeuvres. Above, glass-front upper cabinets store glasses for the adjacent wine cellar. The island features a natural wood countertop paired with modern stools, while black-and-brass pendants complement the brass cabinet hardware, tying the design together.
Together, these new kitchens update the flow of the home—allowing adults to cook and gather for family dinners upstairs, while the basement serves as a casual space for kids to hang out and for hosting wine tastings. A perfect balance of function and fun—a true win-win.
