Timeless Design at Concord Estate: A Thoughtful
Fusion of Old & New

Discover a Concord estate where historic interiors meet modern updates; creating inviting spaces that are truly livable.

Traditional stained flooring and freshly painted millwork pair with tone-on-tone geometric wallpaper from the foyer to the third floor. The main stair, painted black, contrasts with dark brown flooring and a chocolate brown striped runner. Linen drapery softens the rear corridor at a pair of French doors, while alabaster sconces and greenery add life to the foyer.

preserves traditional architectural details: from millwork to doors to the elaborate staircase, all have been meticulously restored with fresh coats of paint. The color palette embraces a variety of neutrals, ranging from cream to black to rich navy, offering a modern twist on classic elements. Contrast is a key feature throughout the home, where one can move from a light, airy space to a darker, moodier room, and then back to a bright, open area; the flow of color and design naturally draws the eye from one space to the next, creating a sense of movement and cohesion.

The interiors are defined by a blend of tone-on-tone wallpaper, contemporary fixtures, and a curated selection of modern yet livable furniture, offering a balanced mix of past and present. In the kitchen, new cabinet doors have been installed, giving it a fresh look, while over 100 light fixtures throughout the home have been replaced, elevating the entire aesthetic.

Thoughtfully selected furniture, natural wood accents, and mid-century modern influences help shape the living spaces, making each room feel cohesive and intentional. A custom walnut and glass table, paired with leather chairs, brings a sophisticated touch to the dining area. The artwork, sourced from local artists and personal collections, brings an element of surprise and individuality to the home, making every corner feel truly one-of-a-kind. This home masterfully merges its historic character with modern design, creating a welcoming New England estate that honors the past.

A historic Concord home, built in 1903,

"A mix of monochromatic backdrops and sculptural furnishings allows the home’s original woodwork, plasterwork, and artwork to take center stage."
