A pair of empty nesters, one of whom is an artist, recently renovated their home in Brookline. Their vision was to seamlessly blend an eclectic mix of old and new art with contemporary furnishings, while prioritizing comfort and livability. 

In the living room, a bespoke animal print shag rug adds character and is complemented by new herringbone tiles surrounding the fireplace.  Reupholstered family heirlooms stand out in a dark
media room, accompanied by a new sectional a custom pillows. The family room bears more vintage pieces, including a reupholstered sofa and is layered with varying shades of neutrals and indigo. In each space, the studio integrated various textures and fabrics like linen, velvet, and mohair, alongside custom wool rugs, including a luxurious shearling rug placed just beneath a custom window seat.
