Modern Living in Historic Hingham Home

Renovation of a historic Italianate farmhouse in Hingham involved reimagining the space planning of all three floors to provide additional usable space within the footprint of the original home.
On the first floor, multiple smaller spaces were combined to create a new expansive kitchen, where distinct natural oak cabinetry sits alongside a custom white bench that provides seating for a casual dining space. New glass doors seamlessly connect to existing pool and outdoor spaces. a new laundry room and powder room on the other end of the large room connect to the original and oldest parts of the home.
A chimney was dismantled to reconfigure the second floor making way for a new master suite, expanding the previous bathroom and introducing separate his and hers closets and an office nook. Additionally, two children's bathrooms underwent renovation. On the third floor, a new stair leads to an office that doubles as a guest suite with a new bathroom.
Warm wallpaper and new furnishings were carefully chosen throughout the home, creating inviting spaces perfectly suited for a family of five.
