A year-round mountain retreat filled with soft textures, curated furnishings, vintage finds, and layered details—designed for snowy ski weekends, summer nights, and everything in between.

Team:

Designed for Vermont’s four-seasons, this Stowe home blends clean lines with inviting warmth. Natural textures, layered textiles, vintage pieces, and curated art bring character to every room—from the sun-drenched great room to the coziest corners. Tucked into the mountains of Stowe, this year-round vacation home was designed during construction with close collaboration between our studio, the client, the architect, and builder.

The interiors combine contemporary lines with soft textures—velvet, linen, wool—balanced by vintage rugs, heirloom pieces, and furniture handmade by the homeowner. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living spaces speak the same language, while moodier rooms like the wallpapered family room or the custom bunkroom offer cozy contrast.

The primary bedroom features a modern linen bed, mid-century lighting, and Grandma’s vintage dresser. Grasscloth walls, custom drapery, and a mix of New England art add warmth and personality. The kids’ rooms include playful wallpaper and a blend of old and new furniture, layered with collected artwork—both vintage and contemporary—and accented by fun light fixtures. Covered porches, a firepit, and outdoor dining areas make this home as welcoming in July as it is in January.

Nothing in this home feels overly designed. Every piece was selected to be lived with—comfortable, textural, and welcoming—season after season. It’s a house that embraces muddy boots, vintage rugs, and snowy mornings by the fire.
